I just stumbled across this article that says that people tend left or right politically because it's hardwired in to them. I'm not sure I agree with this, but it's interesting.

Anyone know how one can go about leaving a political party officially? I've been to the Liberal, NDP, and Conservative party websites but I haven't been able to find that option.

So if I'm currently a member of one party and looking to switch, what do I need to do other than joining the new party?

I just read that a recent Decima poll showed 43 per cent of Canadians surveyed could be induced to vote for the Green Party of Canada under some circumstances.
